- According to the CNYCA Public Relations Committee, Dr. Alexander Gonzales, President of California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) will attend this year CNYCA opening ceremony at 1:00pm, Saturday, February 4th, 2006. CNYCA is grateful to have the full support of the CSUS as the event partner.
- CNYCA will honor CSUS Executive Vice President Dr. Joseph Sheley at this year¡¦s opening ceremony for his long-time involvement and support to the Chinese New Year Celebrations.
- The preparation for the exciting stage performances is reaching its final stage. A dress rehearsal has been scheduled on Monday, January 30th, 2006. The rehearsal will start 6:00pm in the Ballroom of CSUS Student Union.
- This year¡¦s stage decoration is under the direction of our veteran stage design artist, Mr. Shanfu Zhao, of the Fu Ya Arts Company. Mr. Zhao has been a professional stage designer for over 40 years. He has served as the Art Director of the Guangdong Song and Dance Troupe in China, and the Master Scenic Artist in the Music Theater of Wichita in Kansas, USA.
- CNYCA¡¦s donation to The Sacramento Public Library will be officially announced at the opening ceremony with officials from the Library attending the event to accept the check.
